This day has fucking sucked. Everything is annoying me. It's one of those days where you feel like using the word "cunt" a lot. Other than the Astros winning last night, nothing good has happened today.
-
Astros win! Brad Lidge has now earned "respectable middle reliever" status.
-
The newest episode of Heroes was kind of weak. Didn't move the story along enough. The ending was kind of cool.
-
The newest episode of Entourage has been weak so far too (I'm only 2/3 through it). No hotties, and I can't believe they're already getting Ari and Vince back together so soon. Ghey.
-
My Star Wars marathon has gone much slower than anticipated. Watching 3 feature length films in one day is a lot harder to pull off than you'd think. After one day I'm only 2/3 through Attack of the Clones.
-
Why the long face? Look at what day we are on here.
Entourage was weak this week. They could of played the Arie and Vince thing out a little more. Maybe since they kissed and made up, we can get back to the main reason 98.9% of the people watch that show. HOTTIES!

That was pretty brutal how Vince's agent/girlfriend punked him at the end though.
I don't get to watch any shows with regularity. I have no idea what's been happening on Heroes, The Sopranos and Entourage other than bits and pieces. It's a blessing and a curse.
Yeah dude. Bright side. Bright side.

Ojo: DVR my brother, DVR. I record all my favorite shows each week and then kill about 3 1/2 hours on only one night a week watching them all commercial free.
Snake: While I agree that the Ari-Vince relationship was mended too quickly, Ari is the shit. Favorite quote from him on the last episode: [after his little girl complained about hunger pangs during their fasting on Yom Kippur (sp?0], Ari said "now you know how mommy feels trying to keep a hot body for daddy."
Awesome.

Didn't Ari also say something like this to his daughter..."That's the good thing about Yom Kippur, you can do what ever you want and as long as you ask for forgiveness before sun down you are all good!"

Interesting things about that link:
1) Luke Scott is hitting the hell out of the ball with a whopping .900 slugging pct. WOW.
2) No one is hitting the long ball.
3) Ensberg is sucking it up for the second year in a row.

If you want to see the whole season, change the 7-day deal to "overall", or just go here:
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/Statistics/Team/playerstats?team=hou&seasonYear=2007&split=0&seasonType=2&type=reg&pagetype=batting
Ensberg isn't sucking:
Avg. 240, OBP .351, SLG .365
But he isn't setting the world on fire.
He is getting on base. He walks like a mofo. (He also takes a lot of called strikes.)
Everett is sucking pretty bad -- avg below .200, and .077 in the past seven days. Yikes.

kb, ojo, matt k: Every good Entourage episode has 4 qualities: Ari going off on somebody, a naked or near naked hottie(s), Drama getting tooled, and somebody being brutal to somebody. Amanda punking Vince was hardcore.
tom: what about Ensberg's numbers is good? OBP of .350? Maybe his numbers aren't the worst, but has certainly been a below average hitter so far this season, in a season where he can't afford to be a below average hitter. Everett's performance is simply unacceptable imo, especially with Loretta on the bench.

Avg. 240, OBP. 351 means he gets on base .111 of the time via a walk.
Now imagine if he raises his average to .280! He becomes one of the top 3Bs in the NL. Certainly behind Miggy Cabrera and David Wright, but better than pretty much everyone else.

Well, if he raises his average to .260 or better, then he'll be doing ok. Sub .250 BA just ain't cutting it, especially w/ his slugging as low as it is.
