Two weeks. Unbelievable. I mean, not this coming Tuesday, but next Tuesday, I'll be flying out of Iraq for the last time ever. Crazy.
Today I dropped off my last load of laundry ever. One thing I may actually miss about this place is that everything is taken care of for you. Gas is always in the car, your laundry gets washed and folded for you (for free), your meals are cooked and are free, all your bills are paid, and everything is within walking distance. Aside from being in a war zone 10,000 miles from home and working 80+ hours per week, it's a pretty simple life.

I watched my DVD of the 2005 National Championship game. It still gives me goosebumps. VY is unreal. One thing that surprised me this time through was how many things went Texas' way. We got several calls that could have gone either way and several bounces of the ball that would have F'ed us had they gone differently. Still, we deserved the win.

I'm pretty stoked to see the summer blockbusters in the theaters this summer. It's been over a year since I saw a movie in a real theater. Hopefully Spiderman 3 will be good; that's probably the first one I'll see.

Dude, how fucking good is that 1st Bud Light on Sunday Beach gonna taste? Holy shit. I know, man.

I had a fucked up dream involving my ex-girlfriend last night, but the weirdest thing about it was that it had a soundtrack. It was a Phil Collins song, but I couldn't remember it once I woke up. I've been listening to Phil Collins songs for over an hour, and I think it was either Easy Lover or Invisible Touch. Neither of those songs are ones I particularly like and neither had anything to do with my relationship with her, so I don't know wtf it was doing in my dream.
Anyway, this is for Ojo, who I'm sure will be busting a move in his office shortly. Oonce...oonce...oonce...
Phil Collins would give anyone nightmares...don't freak out. Remember that video with him and the giant lizard. Dude's weird.
As to the chow hall. It's like when you move out of the dorms in college. All of a sudden you miss that shitty cafeteria food because it was so convenient.
Your first beer on the beach made me picture you in a semi-conscious state, redder than a lobster, passed out in a chair with your friends doing nothing to help your drunk ass. It's gonna be fun.

You probably don't want to talk about it, since you hate the spurs but....Robbert Freakin' Horry. That dude just knows when to make shots. Classic thinking would say, "if he knows how to make shots why not make them all the time?" Well I'm glad you asked that...he is like a car that only has a 30 miles left until he runs out of gas. He can't exhaust all the energy the whole game or he wouldn't be able to step on the accelerator when he really needs to pass the semi going 40 in a 70.
Spurs are going to move on and the Mavs are going to fall. I love the NBA. Sorry about the Raptors though. I was rooting for them. Maybe they will win tonight. My favorite in the east has to be The bulls.

at least you weren't dreaming of a makeout session with your ex (and flaming) roommate. although, if you had a ex-lesbian roommate, you might think it somewhat hot to makeout with her! ;-) (see my blog post to make sense of this comment. lol!)
when are we planning "ambs goes to POC"? ab? ojo? :-D

billy: One unique talent I have is not passing out involuntarily regardless of how much I've had to drink. This has been much to my own detriment, but if I have too much to drink I'm much more likely to say and do things I regret than to pass out.
kb: The Spurs will not get past the Suns.
ambs77: yeah your dream is even weirder than mine.
We are definitely gonna do an "Ambs to POC" event. I'll get the bug in Ojo's ear if it ain't already there.

..except that time you passed out on the balcony on the 20th floor suite at Rocco's bachelor party. At least you made it to your destination. I would have picked a more comfy spot to crash on though.
