So here we are. The end. The start of something else.
.
My state of mind is certainly different from when I came over here. I can’t put my finger on exactly how I’ve changed, but I know I’m not the same person who left houston two Octobers ago. I hope that I’m a better person. I hope that I’m at minimum more appreciative of all the good things in my life: the people, the places, the opportunities.
.
Now that I think about it, maybe that is the biggest positive difference; hope. Coming over here was a move made in desperation, a move made in hopelessness. But I got what I came for, and now I have hope that things can go well for me from here on out; in fact, I have hope that things will be great, that I can be great.
.
Anyway, enough of that crap.
---
This blog has been an integral part of keeping me connected to people and the goings-on back home. I want to thank all of you who have read and commented; many times, interaction on this blog was the highlight of my day. I hope that you all got something out of this as well, even if it was just a way to make the workday pass more quickly.
.
I won’t rule out blogging again in the future, but I do know it’s going to at least be a long while, and it probably won’t be at this location. So, this is very likely the end of Snake Dogg Blogg.
.
I look forward to good times with many of you in the near future. If you’d like to hang out, or keep in touch, or whatever, you can get a hold of me at if you want to. I wish you all the best.
.
Thank you. Goodbye.

It's been fun, sito. Thanks for the entertaining, sometimes controversial, time-wasting blog. Hopefully SDB will make a return some day.
In the meantime, I'll be hanging out at Menometrorhagia, and cursedwithambition.
Have a safe trip back. See you soon.

Just from reading your blog, I'd say your stay in Iraq has been great for you in many ways. Although I used to hate to hear it, I am now willing to admit that experience really is everything....and you've had some very unique experience now.
Enjoy the travels.

Sometimes when I stayed up until one a.m. for no reason (or because I was on call) I could comment on ye olde SDB and get a response from Jake. Not tonight. This makes me sad.

I know I'm biased, but this was the most brutalest blog in human history. May it's author live at least 763 more days.
